About
Cathay Pacific is the flag carrier of Hong Kong and the world 10th largest airline and world's largest international cargo. The airline was founded by an American and Australian who were ex-air force pilots who had flown the Hump, a route over the Himalayan mountains. It was the world's first non-stop transpolar flight flying over the North Pole. Cathay Pacific is one of the founding members of the Oneworld alliance and has a subsidiary Cathay Dragon which is also an affiliate member of One World.

Alliance
Oneworld founded in February 1999 is the third largest alliance in terms of passengers. Oneworld has 13 full members who collectively carry over 527.9 million passengers per year. Marco Polo Club is the frequent flyer program allows members to access OneWorld network member airlines. Passengers can access privileges based on the status of the member airline's frequent flyer program. Oneworld has three premium status levels which are Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.

Class of Travel
Cathay Pacific provides four classes of travel; First class - Cathay Pacific provides world-class service with a spacious cabin, flatbed and superior entertainment experience, all with personalised service.
Business class - Cathay Pacific offers a superior flying experience combining work and comfort. Along with priority check-in Pacific offers exclusive lounge access before flying. The onboard experience is redefined by the fine dining with the selection of locally sourced sustainable ingredients combined with the award-winning selection of wines.
Economy Class - Cathay Pacific's economy class is a combination of comfort and quality. Passengers can enjoy hot meals onboard along with the in-flight entertainment.

Baggage allowance
Economy class passengers are allowed 7kg for carry-on and 30-35 kgs for checked-in luggage.
Business class passengers are allowed 10kgs for carry-on and 40 kgs for checked-in luggage.
First class passengers are allowed 15kgs for carry-on and 50 kgs for checked-in luggage.

Frequent Flyer Programme
Marco Polo Club offers members a wide range of benefits which can be redeemed for award tickets or free upgrades. Members can avail a range of benefits such as extra baggage allowance and access to airport lounges. The frequent flyer program is a combined loyalty programme of Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon.
