About
Iran Air, also known as the Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran is headquartered in Tehran and is the flag carrier airlines of Iran. It operates to 71 destinations across Asia and Europe and was founded in 1944 as Iranian Airways. It is also known as Homa domestically as it is the acronym for Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Persian.

Travel Class
Iran Air provides 2 travel classes
Economy - Iran Air's economy provides all passengers with standard seats with buy-on-board menu.
HOMA- Iran Air's HOMA is the business cabin offers passengers with access to the CIP lounge at the Tehran. Guests are given the best-handcrafted meals which come with more than one serving along with beverages which include the famous Iranian tea. The seats are semi-recliner which are equipped with in-flight entertainment.

Baggage Allowance
Passengers are allowed to carry on hand luggage which can weigh up to 7kgs and check-in baggage which weighs up to 35kgs. Please read more information about baggage for different fare types and additional baggage price here.

Check-in
Iran Air does not provide online check-in facilities.
Airport check-in is at least 3 hrs to 90 mins before the flight's departure.

Frequent Flyer Program
Skygift is the frequent flyer program for Iran Air. Members can earn mileage points by flying with the airline. These points can be redeemed for award tickets, award upgrade, value-added services. The mileage points can also be earned with the nation- airline partners in Hotels, Banks, Telecommunications, Car Rentals, Travel agencies etc. The points can also be used to gift flight tickets to loved ones. There are two levels of membership- Silver and Gold Skygift Cards.

In-Flight Services
Iran provides for exquisite delicacies, snacks, meals along with non-alcoholic beverages. Passengers can pre-book their meals or purchase it on board the flight and request for special meals with religious or medical prerequisites 48 hours prior to the flight departure time. The airlines do not provide for a digital in-flight entertainment but passengers can read the available Farsi magazines.

Onboard support
Iran Air provides special assistance for guests with special needs, Infants, expectant mothers, unaccompanied minors and any pre-departure arrangements. Passengers in need of mobility support will be provided with wheelchair services during the flight. All passengers are requested to contact the airline directly for special assistance queries and reservations.

Refund and Cancellation
Passengers can cancel their booking either through Iran Air’s sales’ offices or website. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
